Caitlin Griffiths

Caitlin is a museum and gallery consultant with extensive experience of the sector gained through working in a number of museums and nationally at a senior policy level at the Museums Association. She has led sector changing work on issues related to workforce development and ethics; including the MA’s revision of the ethical principles relating to disposal in the MA’s Code of Ethics and writing the accompanying Disposal Toolkit and its recent update. She has also written the first edition of Cultural Heritage Blueprint after a brief secondment to Creative and Cultural Skills, the MA’s 2012 Smarter Loans guidance and together with Helen and Maurice she wrote the Northern Ireland Museums Council’s recently published toolkit for Museums and the Creative Industries.

Having led the MA’s professional development schemes she has a strong track record in developing and running training, facilitation and mentoring. She has also regularly developed and run events and one day conferences. She has experience of working across the UK with a broad range of organisations within the museum sector providing support, advice and guidance on a range of ethical and workforce matters. She has a strong interest in supporting organisational change and innovation.

She has participated on numerous sector working groups including DCMS, MLA and sector bodies in the devolved nations.
