The Museum Consultancy

We are a team of three museum and gallery consultants – Caitlin Griffiths, Helen Wilkinson, and Maurice Davies – with extensive experience in strategic thinking, organisational change, project development, professional development, research, analysis, evaluation, writing, communication, advocacy and museum ethics. We have particular strengths in the development and use of museum collections, workforce development and diversification, policy development and sustainability.

Working as the Museum Consultancy, we are able to pool many years’ experience in the museum sector. We have worked together for museums ranging in size from the British Museum to small, volunteer-run museums. We have worked for independent, local-authority, national and university museums. And we have worked for national and regional organisations including the British Council, the East Midlands Museums Service and the Northern Ireland Museums Council. We first worked together at the Museums Association but are now all independent of the MA.
